This is my first blog post, NOT in MySpace. Whoa! What a foreign concept. You may ask yourself,why is Andrew doing such a crazy thing? Well it’s mainly because I can and I am awesome. I rarely posted in MySpace, plus I like the formatting on here a little better. I was planing on using movabletype as my blog of choice on my server, but when I changed to 1&1 and my host provider, they included this blog editor with the package. so I figured why the hell not, so here we are.
BTW 1&1 is pretty cool, for a while I was hosting my own site on our everyday computer using apache, which I believe I wrote a Howto on. Then I moved it to a Windows 2003 server in our computer room. Much nicer for a full blown server.
Buuuuttttt our power and cable sucks and I loose one, or the other, or both, everyother week (very annoying when running a server). So to have a reliable/fast server, not to mention cheap$$ :). ya it puts small restrictions on my useage, but really other then family and friends I don’t see this site gaining mass media attention, and for some reason if it does I will upgrade it. A small price to pay for sanity.
